Adler University is a private university, with two campuses in North America. The university's flagship campus is in Chicago, Illinois, and its satellite campus is located in Vancouver, British Columbia. We welcome you to Adler University with a single word that describes the teachings and practice of Alfred Adler’s groundbreaking concept of social interest: gemeinschaftsgefühl! Translated, it means our health resides within our community life and connections. It is an idea that demands action that is needed now, more than ever. To shine a light on injustice and drive the work that leads to much needed change in some of our most challenged communities. Our mission is to prepare practitioners to address the world’s alarming health inequities and social injustices. Adler University puts boots on the ground where they are needed most – as scholars, activists, practitioners, and mentors. Adlerian practitioners bring needed change to the communities they call home.

Your instructor will help you connect with the potential industry partner through Riipen platform. You will research and provide an analysis of a major workplace implementation, such as role of mission, vision, values to HRM; strategic actions, strategic development techniques, HR planning, job analysis, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, occupational health and safety, employee management relations, formulating talent management strategy. MAIOP 215

Oct 30, 2023 - Dec 2, 2023

Students from Adler University would be very excited to be your student-consultants in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over three-four weeks, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are working towards a Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and often have backgrounds and/or education in various psychology contexts including leadership and human resources. In this course, they immerse themselves in the elements of leadership success, starting with the most important theories and models of the day such as authentic leadership, transformational leadership and situational leadership, and as well, are steeped in the history of leadership development over time. They apply these leadership ideas in the development of their own practices. They are interested in areas of organizational culture, employee engagement, team effectiveness and more.
